Defense and instrumentation technology developer Elbit Systems of America has named Tiffany Nesbit vice president of engineering, and Douglas Sandklev vice president of technology and innovation.

Nesbit and Sandklev will both be charged with continuing advancements in innovation of field-proven technologies and solutions to help meet U.S. warfighters' mission needs.

"We are pleased with the selection of Tiffany and Doug to lead the way as we continue our focus on the research and development of innovative technologies that will further advance our solutions and capabilities," said Raanan Horowitz, president and CEO of Elbit. “Across the industry, Tiffany and Doug are recognized as effective team leaders with vision and drive to execute our complex technological developments."

Nesbit has more than 25 years of aerospace experience in research and development leadership roles, with her most recent position at Honeywell. Previous posts include director of engineering, interfacing with COMAC on developing the C919 aircraft; director of Aerospace Software Center of Excellence; and engineering lead for the Flight Controls Joint Venture Formation Team.

"Tiffany is uniquely qualified to lead the Elbit Systems of America engineering efforts and uphold its commitment to provide high-quality solutions designed to secure the nation and protect the lives of its warfighters and citizens," Horowitz said.

With more than twenty years of experience, Sandklev will work closely with customers, including the U.S. government, prime contractors' research and development organizations, industry partners and its supplier base, to develop integrated technology strategies.

"With a notable aerospace and defense career, primarily with Lockheed Martin, Sandklev's experience is marked by technological innovations and sustained business growth," Horowitz said. "We look forward to the contributions Doug will make in delivering superior capabilities to our military."
