Snyder Appointed President of American Polarizers

Optical technology developer American Polarizers Inc. has appointed Jeffrey Snyder as its new president.

“Over his short tenure with the company, Jeff has been instrumental in helping us bring new products and capabilities to market that have firmly established API as a leading global supplier of polarizing materials and products,” said Nicholas Bentley, CEO of American Polarizers. “Our mission is to continue to innovate and adapt to changes in technology in order to maintain our position as the premier provider of polarizing solutions in the world.”

Snyder joined API in 2014, serving as the company’s product engineering manager. He has spent more than 20 years in various specialized materials industries including fiberglass, graphite and wood products manufacturing. Snyder holds a bachelor’s degree in electro-mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in systems engineering from Penn State University.

"API’s continued success will come from helping customers solve a wide range of optical problems through technological advancements, new product innovations and the development of unique solutions for specific segments of the marketplace,” Snyder said. “The recent expansion in our precut filter product line, for example, offers distinct advantages for customers needing high-quality laminated polarizers, but in limited quantities.”

American Polarizers is a supplier of polarizing materials and products for the aerospace, imaging, inspection, medical, nondestructive testing, quality control, and test and measurement industries.
