James DiBella Joins Imperx
Imaging system developer Imperx Inc. has appointed James DiBella as its director of camera development.
DiBella will be in charge of providing technical leadership in the design and development of new products, as well as the contribution of new ideas. He brings 34 years of experience in the electrical engineering and electronic imaging fields, including eight years of direct customer application engineering support.
“I’m extremely excited to be working with such a talented team of people and a company that really cares about its people as much as its customers and products,” DiBella said.
Previously the application systems engineering manager for the ON Semiconductor industrial and security imaging sensor division, DiBella managed its systems engineering team. He also spent a number of years as a hardware design engineer in the Eastman Kodak Company Professional Digital Camera Group after receiving an associate’s degree in optical technology and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology. As an optical technician for the Kodak apparatus division, DiBella developed production test equipment for products like the disc camera after which he moved into working on digital proofing systems and then professional cameras and camera backs.
