Elbit Receives $35M in Contracts for Laser Designators
Arms and aerospace company Elbit Systems Ltd. has received two three-year contracts, valued at $35 million, to supply laser designator systems for two unspecified countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
“Elbit Systems has years of experience in developing advanced electro-optic systems including highly accurate and powerful laser designators in particular,” said Elad Aharonson, general manager of Elbit’s ISTAR division. “The awarded contracts reaffirm Elbit Systems' commitment to the Asia-Pacific market and to its investments in local industries.”
The systems are for airborne platforms and will be supplied by partner firm Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
Elbit is a high technology company engaged in a wide range of defense, homeland security and commercial programs.
