Adams Appointed Lumileds' CEO
LED developer Lumileds has appointed Mark Adams as its CEO.
Adams most recently served as president of Micron Technology Inc., a manufacturer of advanced memory solutions, from 2012 to 2016.
“I am very excited to join the team at Lumileds and have the support of Philips and Apollo to execute the company’s vision,” Adams said. “We will build upon Lumileds’ robust innovation pipeline, technology leadership and strong customer base to drive Lumileds’ future growth.”
Between 2008 and 2012, Adams held the position of vice president of worldwide sales at Micron. He also served in executive roles at Lexar Media Inc., Creative Labs Inc. and NCR Corp. Adams currently sits on the board of directors at Cadence Design Systems Inc. and Seagate Technology PLC. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Boston College and his MBA from Harvard University.
Lumileds is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Philips, developing LEDS and automotive lighting products.
