Creotech Fills Order for EU’s Extreme Light Infrastructure Project
Instrumentation provider Creotech Instruments SA has completed an order from European research infrastructure organization Extreme Light Infrastructure (ELI) in the Czech Republic for 150 advanced electronic measurement components.
The goal of ELI is to build the world's most powerful laser, the High Repetition-Rate Petawatt Advanced Laser System (HAPSLI), featuring a power of >10 PW. The system is expected to weigh 20 tons and cost $48 million. The Creotech order is valued in excess of 250,000 PLN ($61,300).
ELI is funded by the European Union and implemented with the participation of scientists from around the world.
