Etaluma, DRVision to Create Tunkey Microscopy System
Microscope developer Etaluma Inc. and imaging provider DRVision Technology LLC have announced a strategic partnership to combine Etaluma’s next-generation inverted Lumascope (LS) microscopes and DRVision’s Aivia image visualization, analysis and data exploration technology into a powerful turnkey solution for microscopy-based assays and live-cell assays performed within incubators and hypoxia chambers.
“DRVision’s software offers a perfect image analysis solution for us due to its simple approach to a variety of cellular assays predefined as recipes,” said Chris Shumate, CEO of Etaluma. “DRVision’s Aivia provides us a best-in-class cell analysis solution.”
DRVision is a provider of multidimensional multimodal image visualization, analysis and interpretation. Etaluma’s inverted compact microscopes are ideal for live cell imaging, checking cell growth and fluorescence protein expression.
”Etaluma’s high-resolution LS microscopes are ideal for live cell imaging and offer an attractive blend of resolution, functionality and affordability,” said Luciano Lucas, executive vice president of DRVision. “Adding DRVision’s image analysis solutions to the Etaluma system will enable users to benefit from a complete workflow, from image acquisition to visualization and advanced analysis.”
