CyberOptics Reports Orders for New Solder PasteInspection System

MINNEAPOLIS, May 5 -- CyberOptics Corp. has received two orders for its SE 300 solder paste inspection system. The company said the systems will be shipped in this year's third quarter.
The SE 300 inspects solder pads on the entire SMT circuit board. CyberOptics asserts that its new product offers a higher optical resolution and speed than any of the current systems on the market.
The orders for the SE 300 were placed by electronic manufacturing services (EMS) companies. One of the orders was placed by a current customer of CyberOptic's SE 200 (Sentry) system, which the company will continue to market. The second EMS customer placed its order earlier this year for the company's new KS 100 post-placement inspection system. CyberOptics anticipates additional SE 300 orders during the second quarter.
