PG&O Installs Eddy Monitoring System
Glass and optics provider Precision Glass & Optics (PG&O) has announced the successful installation of the SL-2012A SpectraLock index dispersion enhanced monitoring (IDEM) system from optical monitor provider Eddy Co.
“We are excited to announce our enhanced optical coating capabilities with the installation of Eddy Co.’s special index dispersion enhanced monitoring system,” said Dan Bukaty Jr., president of PG&O. “We can now produce optical thin films that perfectly match our design programs and we can accurately predict the films our chambers produce with optical thickness monitoring and control from 1 nm to over
5000 nm. In short, our optical thin films are about 10× more precise than previously available.”
The advanced system provides in situ optical monitoring and rate control to produce single- and multi-layered thin films with precision and accuracy.
