Lu to Head Optical Coatings at Inrad
NORTHVALE, N.J., May 12 -- Dr. Zhiming Lu has agreed to a position as head of Inrad's Thin Films Technology and Optical Coating department. Lu comes to Inrad after nine years as head scientist and leader of the thin-films and optical coating development and production departments at Rocky Mountain Instrument Co.
We are pleased to welcome Zhiming Lu to direct our activities in Optical Coatings and ThinFilms, said Dan Lehrfeld, president and CEO of Inrad. Our crystal and custom optical components, our materials R&D, and virtually all of our product development activities require state-of-the-art dielectric optical coatings and metallic thin films. Zhiming is leading the expansion of our coating team, our coating facility, and its production capacity. He will also spearhead our related development activities, which will extend the breadth of coating capabilities in our repertoire. Our strategic aim is to position ourselves to meet the growing and diverse needs of our customers.
