Mulliner will oversee finance, IT and human resources organizations. He will report to CEO Mike Scobey.

“I am pleased that Jason will bring his combination of finance and photonics market expertise to Alluxa,” Scobey said. “He will be instrumental as we continue to grow Alluxa quickly, and I look forward to working with a CFO who with direct experience in Alluxa’s strategic markets like lidar, life sciences and semiconductors. This creates a healthy appreciation for the needs of our scientist and engineer customers.”

Mulliner has held a variety of responsibilities in his career ranging from applications engineer and product manager to, most recently, the chief financial officer of Edmund Optics. Prior to Edmund Optics, he worked at National Instruments where he was the product manager in the imaging group. Mulliner is active in the photonics and optics community as a member of the SPIE Finance Committee and chairperson of the SPIE Engineering, Science and Technology Policy Committee. He also is a committee member of the National Photonics Initiative, which is a joint effort by the SPIE and OSA to increase government advocacy of photonics and STEM. Mulliner holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Brigham Young University and an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Alluxa is a designer and manufacturer of next-generation, hard-coated optical filters using plasma deposition.
