InFocus Partners with Three-Five on Display Technology
WILSONVILLE, Ore., May 22 -- InFocus has agreed to work with Three-Five Systems, Inc. to develop customized display technology for front projection data/video projectors.
The agreement is in keeping with a recent strategy devised by InFocus to provide its customers with leadership products using the best technology available. It is hoped that the agreement with Three-Five will result in the development of Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) display technology that is specially made for use in the data/video projection world. The company asserts that such technology would enable them to deliver solutions for users who are looking for high-performance, high-resolution projectors at a low cost.
Measured diagonally, LCoS microdisplays are less than one inch. Within that inch, however, are over one million pixels; providing excellent resolution and clarity. According to InFocus, such a design will accommodate the data/video projection markets' need for high-information content in an affordable package.
