Ekinops Acquires OneAccess
Ekinops SA, a supplier of next-generation optical network equipment, has acquired network functions provider OneAccess Networks SA.
The partnership provides transport, Ethernet and corporate routing solutions for telecommunications networks, generating combined revenues of approximately €76 million ($90 million) and an earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization margin of 6.3 percent. Key industry trends such as Network Function Virtualization and exponential increases in internet traffic are driving strong customer demand for the solutions developed by the two companies.
In addition, OneAccess has developed a strong presence with very large operators, while Ekinops mainly addresses second-tier carriers, many of which are in the U.S. market. The strong complementarity and limited overlap between the two companies’ customer bases aim to place Ekinops in a strong position to generate commercial synergies.
“With the completion of this acquisition, Ekinops will be a stronger company, positioned for future growth,” said Didier Brédy, CEO of Ekinops.
Ekinops is a provider of open and fully interoperable layer 1, 2 and 3 solutions to service providers.
