Stocker & Yale Unveil Ultra-Thin-Line Laser

SALEM, N.H., June 1 -- Stocker & Yale Inc. has produced what it calls the world's thinnest laser line. Lasiris Inc., a Canadian based subsidiary of Stocker & Yale, has designed and tested a Micro-Focus Laser Line Projector. The projector produces a 5.5-µm thick laser line produced from a commercial laser diode module.
This development represents a significant achievement by our R&D team, commented Alain Beauregard, Stocker & Yale's president and chief technology officer. This Micro-Focus Laser Line Projector will support those applications in the semiconductor and microelectronics inspection markets where absolute precision is required.
