Vrioni Appointed President of Waldmann

Waldmann Lighting, the U.S.-based North American subsidiary of Herbert Waldmann GmbH & Co. KG, has announced that David Vrioni has joined the company as president.

Former president Jan Schaefer announced her retirement in 2017 after a career of over 30 years with the company, and has been working to ensure a smooth transition.

"We are pleased to have David join Waldmann as president of our U.S. subsidiary," said Markus Wiedmann, CEO of Waldmann. "We are confident his extensive experience and proven leadership will complement our existing team, build on the success Jan has helped the company realize and achieve some exciting growth milestones in the coming years."

"I am excited to join a company with the strong reputation of Waldmann Lighting,” Vrioni said. "We will be focusing on aggressive growth strategies in all product categories, which will be fueled by innovation and a continuous pipeline of new products."

Vrioni comes to Waldmann with a background in operations, sales and marketing, product development, design engineering, quality management, supply chain and sourcing, having spent over thirty years in the manufacturing sector. He led a successful professional lighting company for the last 11 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Iowa State University.

Waldmann Lighting develops workplace-oriented luminaires for industrial, office, architectural and health care applications.
