Registration Open For LIA Manufacturing Events

Registration is officially open for the Laser Institute of America (LIA)’s Laser Additive Manufacturing Conference (LAM), which takes place March 27-28, and for the Lasers for Manufacturing Event (LME) taking place March 28-29. Both events will be held at the Schaumburg Convention Center in Schaumburg, Ill.

Celebrating its 10th consecutive year, LAM features presentations highlighting where and how to apply additive manufacturing concepts, with a distinct focus on laser technology.

The two-day event will feature experienced keynote speakers and offer practical networking opportunities. LAM attendees will also have full access to the LME exhibit — a solutions-focused event for those who seek to add lasers to their manufacturing processes.

This year’s LAM sessions include:

• Accelerating the Additive Revolution
• Trends in Laser Additive Manufacturing
• Design and Structure for AM
• Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Using LAM
• Systems and Process Integration
• Powder Development and Manufacturing for LAM Processes

The conference is an opportunity for individuals on the fence about adding additive manufacturing to their manufacturing capabilities to connect with industry leaders who have already made the transition and can offer guidance. They can speak with those who have adopted the technology, including academics, engineers and commercial suppliers.

LME is an interactive exhibit created to increase the awareness and application of lasers in manufacturing. At LME, laser-specific solution providers are available to answer questions and provide demonstrations to those who may be new to laser technology or are looking to source new equipment for their manufacturing needs.

In addition to LAM 2018 sponsors such as Alabama Laser, Laserline and LPW, LME exhibitors will include companies that offer laser additive manufacturing, laser safety, automation, filtration and much more. A complete list of LME 2018 exhibitors can be found on the LME website.
