Malvern Names 2018 Goetz Award Winners

Analysis instrument developer Malvern Panalytical has announced the recipients of the 2018 Alexander Goetz Instrument Support Program award.

The Goetz Instrument Program allows master's and/or Ph.D. students across the world to submit a research proposal involving spectral science and offers the opportunity to use an ASD field spectrometer or spectroradiometer at no charge to pursue their research endeavors.

Winners are Jie Dai at San Diego State University and the University of California, Santa Barbara; Erola Fenollosa at the University of Barcelona; Becca Goodman at SUNY Buffalo; Marcella Piscitelli at the University of Buenos Aires; Gustavo Togeiro de Alckman at the University of Tasmania; Ai Hwee “Elise” Kho at the University of Queensland; Dipika Nadkarni at Durham University; Meredith McPherson at the University of California, Santa Cruz; and Wendel Raymond at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

Malvern Panalytical instruments help users better understand a wide variety of materials, from proteins and polymers to metals and building materials, enabling the measurement of parameters such as particle size; shape and zeta potential; biomolecular interactions and stability; rheological properties; elemental concentrations; and crystallographic structure. The company received a record number of submissions this year.
