Sofradir, ULIS Announces Reorganization, Department Expansion

Imaging technology developers Sofradir and its subsidiary ULIS have announced a structural reorganization to improve overall efficiency, quality of service, and time-to-market of its IR technologies for commercial, aerospace, defense, automotive, and smart buildings sectors.

The new organization involves activating operational synergies between Sofradir and ULIS, which will create two new departments — one dedicated to innovation and strategic projects and the other to product development and maturity. The reorganization will take place over the next few months.

“Faced with growing competition, we need to be smarter and more efficient about how we manage our assets going forward,” said Jean-François Delepau, chairman of Sofradir, ULIS, and Sofradir-EC. “We are setting the stage to continue our long-standing success in IR imaging. Fundamentally, we are reinvigorating our strengths: extensive scientific knowledge and industrial expertise, technological vision, a strong performance record, team excellence, and close relationships with customers and suppliers. These assets will enable us to take product quality beyond current market standards and raise the bar in speeding up innovation to market. We believe this will bring substantial competitive benefits to our customers.”

Sofradir and ULIS are designers and manufacturers of high-performance imaging technologies for aerospace, defense, and commercial markets with a portfolio of IR and thermal imaging detectors and sensors that cover the entire electromagnetic spectrum.
