DALSA Receives $750,000 Contract from Du Pont
WATERLOO, Ontario, Canada, June 9 -- DALSA received a $750,000 contract to supply advanced imaging solutions to E.I. Du Pont De Nemours & Co. Inc. DALSA has agreed to integrate 19 of its Eclipse cameras with Motion Vision defect detection software. The resulting technology will provide Du Pont with a complete inspection solution for its Circleville, Ohio, Kapton film production facility. The contract is expected to be complete by 2001.
Kapton film is a dielectric film used in high volume electronic circuit boards, industrial transformers, and other electrical and electronic applications. DALSA's camera, combined with the image sensors and processing software technology, will give Dupont the ability to perform real-time defect detection during the manufacturing process. This will improve product quality and reduce waste material, Dupont said.
