Ocean Optics Unveils New Filter Technology
DUNEDIN, Fla., June 21 -- Ocean Optics Inc. has announced initial shipments of optical network and digital imaging products. The products are based on the company's Dichroic Filter Array technology, which uses optical thin-film deposition techniques and microlithographic procedures to produce micron-sized precision patterning of dichroic coatings on a single substrate.
The technology is being used to produce opto-mechanical and opto-electrical devices, and for dense wavelength division multiplexer applications that require refined micromechanical systems and optical cross-connect technologies based on liquid crystal displays.
