Applied Energetics and the UA Collaborate
Applied Energetics and the Board of Regents on behalf of the University of Arizona have signed a research agreement for advanced frequency agile optical sources and ultrashort pulse lasers.
The research project, whose applications include counter-threat and dual-use manufacturing technologies, will be supervised by Alan Kost, associate research professor of optical sciences at the University of Arizona. Applied Energetics will provide funding to support the collaboration between Applied Energetics’ scientists and the University of Arizona’s scientists, staff, and students.
The agreement also provides Applied Energetics with the option to obtain an exclusive license of certain inventions, discoveries, and other technology made as a result of the collaboration. The company and university will jointly own all intellectual property developed together under the research project.
