Corning to Obtain Assets of Willow Systems Inc.

CORNING, N.Y., June 27 -- Corning Inc. is set to attain Willow Systems Inc., a designer and builder of prototype servo systems for mounting devices and other optical instruments in Albuquerque, N.M. The deal was made with Willow Systems' parent company, NextPath Technology Inc., for an undisclosed agreement.
NextPath is extremely pleased that a company of Corning's stature has agreed to acquire Willow Systems Inc., said David Nuttle, president and CEO of NextPath Technology. We believe that the transaction will be in the best interests of NextPath's shareholders. NextPath plans to refocus and expand efforts related to the balance of its Precision Technology Group companies: Sagebrush Technologies Inc., Laser Wireless Inc., and other companies in the NextPath family.
