ZEISS Strengthens Microscopy Business with arivis AG Investment
ZEISS acquired a majority stake in the imaging business of arivis AG, a German developer and designer of software for visualization and analysis of 2D, 3D, and 4D image data. The investment supports research pursuits in ZEISS’ microscopy business, the company said in a press release. ZEISS’ microcopy business is part of its Quality & Research segment.
ZEISS and arivis have collaborated as partners for more than seven years. Per the transactions, for which financial terms have not been released, all permanent arivis employees will remain in their current positions.
