SICK Breaks Ground for North American Headquarters

SICK Inc. has begun construction on its new campus in Bloomington, Minn. Once complete, the campus will serve as the company’s North American headquarters.

The first phase of the project will be the construction of a 138,000 sq ft facility for production and logistics to be completed in summer 2022. It will contain SICK’s sensor production facilities to expand and grow its U.S. production of sensor technology.

The second phase of the campus’ construction will be a 144,000 sq ft office complex that the company expects to complete by 2026.

The campus will include office space, production and manufacturing warehousing, parking ramps, and space for future expansion of all functions. Expansion would take place over the course of the next 15 years and could include another 200,000 sq ft for production, warehouse, and offices. The  campus will also include a new Industry 4.0 Competence Lab.

SICK has additional North American locations in Boston, Houston, Detroit, San Francisco, Toronto, and Calgary, Alberta.
