THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Teledyne Technologies appointed Vincent Morales to its company’s board of directors, effective Nov. 1. Morales is senior vice president and CFO of PPG. The addition brings the number of board members to 11. Morales joined PPG in 1985 and has served as its CFO since 2017.  

SAN JOSE, Calif. — Automotive lidar company Cepton Technologies appointed Brunno Moretti vice president of product marketing. Based in Cepton’s Detroit office, Moretti will oversee the company’s ongoing product development to drive business growth across automotive and smart infrastructure markets. Moretti previously served as director of product strategy and business development at ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

FARMINGTON, Conn. — Heidi-Melanie Maier was named national service director for standard machines within the TRUMPF service department. Maier began her career with TRUMPF in 2001 in the media relations and communications department. Prior to her move to TRUMPF Inc., Maier held the position of head of corporate communications from 2011 to 2017. In 2018 Maier assumed the role of director of sales and marketing for TruServices and Smart Services at TRUMPF Inc. in North America. She will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the service team for standard machine tool products throughout North America.
 
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Life science company Vizgen appointed Dale Levitzke senior vice president of global sales and support. Levitzke has more than 20 years of experience in the sales and marketing of diagnostics and genomics tools. He previously served as vice president of worldwide sales at NanoString, and prior to that he led commercial activities for the PCR division at Illumina following the company’s acquisition of Helixis where he had served as senior director for global sales.

KRAILLING, Germany — Photonics Systems Group named Thomas Ketelhut CFO and managing director. Most recently, Ketelhut was responsible for the financial management and consolidation of a group of six companies in the machine vision sector, which focus on industrial image processing and camera technology.

FARMINGTON, Conn. — Christine Benz was named head of TruServices and Smart Services at TRUMPF. Benz joined TRUMPF in 2003 in the company’s laser development department. Benz most recently served as training and development manager where she was responsible for technical training and employee development.

HELSINKI — Nanoform Finland PLC will elect Jeanne Thoma as a board member. Thoma currently serves as independent director on the boards of ANI Pharmaceuticals Inc., Avid Bioservices Inc., and Vectura Group PLC. She has served two four-year terms on the board of directors for DCAT Drug, Chemical and Associated Technologies Association and currently serves as a member of the board of advisers to DCAT. Thoma has served in numerous senior leadership roles in the pharmaceutical industry, including president and CEO of SPI Pharma.

GOTHENBERG, Sweden — Life sciences company Vitrolife AB appointed Patrik Tolf CFO, effective Jan. 1. Tolf serves as interim CFO at Karolinska University Hospital.

VICTOR, N.Y. — New Scale Technologies promoted Steve Jackson to quality manager, where he will be responsible for the ongoing development and implementation of quality management systems at the company’s design and manufacturing facility near Rochester, N.Y. Jackson joined New Scale Technologies in 2020, having previously worked at Enentics.

FREMONT, Calif. — Guy Shechter was appointed vice president of global product management and global service at YES (Yield Engineering Systems Inc.). Shechter previously worked as vice president and general manager of global services solutions at Veeco where he spent 13 years in marketing and service leadership roles. 

BRATTLEBORO, Vt. — Omega Optical Holdings (OOH) appointed Justin Turner executive vice president and chief marketing officer. Turner joins OOH from ZYGO and its parent company AMETEK. 

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Covalent Metrology appointed a new leadership team. Chris Moore was promoted to the role of CTO. Jeff Sullivan has expanded responsibilities as Covalent’s vice president of analytical services. Tony Tryba joined the company as vice president of operations and logistics. Sanjay Kumar will join the company to lead IT and data security. Gerard Hatley joined the company as CFO. Kristina Gentleman joined the company to lead people strategy and operations.
