BRISBANE, Calif. — Cutera, a provider of laser and other energy-based aesthetic systems, appointed Janet Widmann and Juliane Park to its board of directors, effective immediately. Widmann serves on the boards of Avista Corp. and Delta Dental of California, and as an adviser to Vida Health. Park serves as chief transformation officer of Olaplex Holdings. He previously served as chief strategy officer at Hudson’s Bay Co.

PARIS — The European Photonics Industry Consortium (EPIC) named Torsten Vahrenkamp, CEO and co-founder of ficonTEC, as the winner of its EPIC CEO Award 2021. The company’s workforce has grown from 25 to approximately 200 since 2010, and it has opened subsidiaries in China, Thailand, and the U.S., as well as a system design and production plant in Estonia.
