THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. — Teledyne Technologies named JihFen Lei executive vice president of Teledyne FLIR Defense. Lei will also continue to serve as general manager of surveillance, reporting to Edwin Roks, executive vice president of Teledyne and segment president of Teledyne Digital Imaging.  

CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Blue laser technology company NUBURU promoted Andrew Dodd to the role of vice president of global sales. Dodd has more than 30 years of experience in laser development and materials processing, having previously worked for GSI Lumonics, Amada WeldTech, and BLM Group North America.

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Optical communications technology company Lightwave Logic appointed Craig Ciesla, currently a member of its advisory board, to its board of directors. Joseph Miller is retiring from the board of directors and will take a role on the company’s advisory board. Ciesla is vice president, head of the Advanced Platforms and Devices group at Illumina, a provider of DNA sequencing and array technologies.

DUBLIN, Calif. — Lidar company AEye appointed former Apple global marketing executive Sue Zeifman to its board of directors. Most recently, Zeifman spent nine years as Apple’s head of global marketing production. Prior to Apple, Zeifman was senior vice president and director of strategic creative and production services at Young and Rubicam.

BEVERLY, Mass. — Biotechnology company Hamilton Thorne appointed Karen Firestone to its board of directors as an independent director. Firestone is co-founder, CEO, and chair of Aureus Asset Management, a Boston-based investment adviser. Additionally, Meg Spencer has retired as chair of the board of directors. The role will be assumed by David Wolf, CEO of Hamilton Thorne. The company also named Feng Han chair of its compensation committee and Robert Potter chair of its nominating and governance committee and its lead independent director.

SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Spatial data company Matterport appointed Rob Hines managing director of the Americas region. Hines will oversee sales efforts across the region, including new business and revenue growth, people management, and the execution of the company’s strategic vision. Hines previously served as chief revenue office for blockchain solutions company Block.one. He has held leadership positions at Oracle and salesforce.com.
