Federal Funding to Fuel NY Quantum Research

The Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, N.Y., will receive more than $293 million in funding for fiscal year 2022 to support the Innovare Advancement Center and SkyDome, an indoor unmanned aerial system test facility, marking a $15 million increase over the previous fiscal year.

The total includes $10 million for the Quantum Computing Test Bed at the Innovare Advancement Center, $200,000 for testing of unmanned aerial systems at SkyDome, and a $25 million addition to Rome’s budget to enable the development and manufacturing of advanced photonic systems.
