Digital Lightwave Gets Orders for High-Speed Optical Analyzers

CLEARWATER, Fla., Aug. 8 -- Digital Lightwave Inc., provider of optical network management products for the fiber optic industry, reported $1.3 million in orders for its OC-12 and OC-48 Network Information Computers (NIC). Fujitsu Network Communications Inc. -- a Richardson, Texas-based designer and manufacturer of fiber optic transmission and broadband switching platforms -- placed the orders for the high-speed optical monitor and analysis devices.
We are very pleased that Fujitsu has selected our high-speed solution for use in support of their optical products, said Gerry Chastelet, chairman, president and CEO of Digital Lightwave. The NIC's portable packaging, unparalleled ease of use and advanced technology are ideally suited to meet the needs of the leaders in optical networking who are providing the infrastructure for the high-growth global Internet economy.
The orders will ship by this year's third quarter, said Digital Lightwave.
