Cree Books More LED Contracts, Adds to Record Year
DURHAM, N.C., Aug. 11 -- Cree Inc. has received purchase agreements from Asia totaling $21 million for standard brightness, high brightness and small chip silicon carbide LEDs. The shipments are slated for fiscal 2001, the company said. Names of the customers were not released.
Our products continue to penetrate high volume applications, said F. Neal Hunter, chairman and CEO of Cree. This latest booking adds to our record backlog for this fiscal year. These contracts represent the largest orders ever received from each of these respective customers.
