Rofin-Sinar Unit Receives Multiple Orders for Laser Marking Systems
PLYMOUTH, Mich., Aug. 24 -- Baasel LaserTech, a Munich, Germany-based subsidiary of Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc., received a contract worth more than $1.5 million (US) from Maurer Electronics, also of Germany, to provide multiple laser marking systems.
Baasel LaserTech will deliver various laser marking systems of its StarMark product line by the end of this year, the company said. The laser marking systems will be integrated into Maurer's M550 Laser Engraver to personalize passports and national ID cards in Poland.
Baasel LaserTech produces industrial lasers and laser-based manufacturing systems under the auspices of Rofin-Sinar. Maurer Electronics is a system integrator of forgery-proof security document manufacturing systems.
