Fiber Optek to Engineer Boston-Washington Network
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY, Aug. 31 -- Fiber Optek has been given a contract to design, construct, engineer and acquire right-of-way for a Boston to Washington, D.C., fiber optic telecommunications network by Global Lightwave Holdings Inc.
Global Lightwave is a carrier's carrier that specializes in providing such communication services as acquiring and supplying strategic rights-of-way and other assets for the carriers marketplace. These include CLEC's, IXC's, ISP's and other carrier class organizations.
Fiber Optek is currently negotiating with Dutchess County, N.Y., for the acquisition of rights-of-way and the installation of fiber optic cable through the county's most commercial areas. For the last 15 years Fiber Optek has been performing a variety fiber optic services on the behalf of corporations, schools and governmental agencies.
