Aeroflex Wins $21 Million in Fiber Component Orders

PLAINVIEW, NY, Sept. 15 -- Aeroflex Laboratories Inc. has received orders from three fiber optic systems manufacturers to provide thin-film products, microelectronic assemblies and RF modules used in 10 Gb and higher fiber optic systems. The total value of the orders was estimated at more than $21 million.
Our enabling thin-film technology coupled with our assembly process expertise and proprietary RF technology satisfies the stringent performance standards required for the latest-generation fiber optics systems, said John Buyko, senior vice president of Aeroflex's microelectronics group. These new contracts affirm the Company's continued commitment to the development of value added products for strategic segments of the multi billion dollar fiber optics market.
