Digital Optics Sets Up High-Volume Photoresist Processing
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 30 -- Digital Optics Corp., a developer of wafer-based passive and active integrated optical subassemblies, has installed two OptiTRAC photoresist-processing systems manufactured by Solitec Wafer Processing Inc. The company will also move its 100-plus employees to a new 100,000 sq-ft facility located in Charlotte in order to meet new production requirements.
With a third system due for delivery later this month, and three additional systems scheduled for delivery in February, Digital Optics Corporation is positioning itself as a worldwide leader in Photonic Chips -- wafer-based, micro-optical subassemblies with unmatched capacity for the telecom, datacom and photolithography markets, said William Francis, the company's vice president of operations.
