Saab To Supply Simulator for German Anti-Tank Helicopter
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 1 -- Saab Training Systems, based in Huskvarna, Sweden, has been chosen by the German Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement to provide a laser-based simulator for the anti-tank helicopter PAH-1 A1 with the HOT missile system. The system is based on the standard Saab BT46 units adapted for Gunnery and Combat training. It will be used mainly within the German National Training Centre based near Magdeburg, Germany.
This simulator will be another component of the German AGDUS training concept for which Saab Training Systems has supplied BT46 simulators for Leopard Main Battle Tanks, the Marder and Wiesel Armoured Personnel Carriers as well as the anti-tank weapons Milan and Panzerfaust 3.
