Optics Goes to Washington
The
Optical Society of America and the
Materials Research Society have opened their 2001-2002 Congressional Science and Engineering Fellow Program, with an application deadline of Jan. 12, 2001.
The fellow will work as a legislative assistant on the staff of a member of Congress or congressional committee, and will attend a yearlong seminar series on science and public policy issues.
