Laser Fare Receives DARPA Prime Contract
WARWICK, R.I., Dec. 12 -- Laser Fare ATG, a member of Infinite Group's Laser and Photonics Group, has landed a Phase 2 SBIR prime contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The contract is scheduled to last two years and is worth $750,000.
This contract builds on the company's core competency in applied photonics, said Clifford G. Brockmyre, CEO of Infinite Group. It is our plan to use advanced laser fabrication techniques to build novel bandgap structures successfully explored in Phase 1 of this program. DARPA is interested in this family of structures because of their value in acoustics, photonics and magnetics.
Laser Fare provides laser services for aerospace, medical and other commercial applications.
