GiantLoop Network and 360Networks Announce Long-Term Network Services Alliance

Vancouver, B.C., Canada, Jan. 5 -- 360networks and GiantLoop Network Inc. have entered an agreement in which 360networks will be GiantLoop's preferred provider of North American and transatlantic broadband network services. In addition, 360networks has made an equity investment in GiantLoop.
The alliance with 360networks allows GiantLoop to extend its managed optical services, called Enterprise Optical Networking, between major metropolitan areas in North America and Europe. Enterprise Optical Networking gives large enterprises the ability to aggregate data and storage networking protocols on a single fiber optic network.
Our Enterprise Optical Networking services eliminate metropolitan bandwidth bottlenecks for some of the largest companies in the world, said Chris Riley, executive vice president of sales and services for GiantLoop Network. These firms now want options for managed inter-city and global optical networks. We searched for a long-haul partner to help us fulfill this demand, and found that 360networks' technical expertise, fully meshed optical network and its passion for customer care were perfect complements to GiantLoop.
