Rodel and Solution Technology Announce Asset Sale to Eminess
PHOENIX, Jan. 22 -- Rodel Inc., a producer of integrated materials for the microelectronics industry, and its wholly owned subsidiary, Solution Technology Inc. (STI), have sold certain jointly-held assets to Eminess Technologies, a company headed by one of Rodel's former employees. The transaction is the first phase of a plan for Rodel and STI to bolster service and support capabilities for small quantity sales of their products.
The second phase of the plan, to be implemented in the second quarter of 2001, calls for Eminess Technologies to act as an exclusive distributor for Rodel's full line of products to customers who require small quantity orders in the semiconductor, silicon wafer and storage media substrates industries.
Eminess Technologies is a newly formed corporation in Scottsdale, Ariz., with manufacturing operations in Monroe, N.C. Eminess provides customized interaction, service and support for companies in the microelectronics, semiconductor, silicon wafer and storage industries. The company's president, Scott Loncki, was previously vice president of Rodel's CMP division and Eminess' management team comprises former employees of Rodel and STI.
