Optical Access Provides Technology to Skanova
STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 31 -- Optical Access said that Skanova, the independent wholesale network provider within the Telia group, has signed a one-year agreement with Optical Access for its OptiSwitch. The deal allows Skanova to deploy Ethernet to the home, providing symmetric broadband access of up to 100 Mb/s to service providers and end users in Sweden.
Skanova will deploy the optical access OptiSwitch for their nationwide build-out of broadband access to residents in Sweden, beginning in Stockholm.
"Ethernet-based access will be an important part of our broadband access network," said Ove Alm, vice president of Skanova. "Optical Access's products target precisely this market and will provide us with the capabilities to offer our customers the best service on the market."
