Chorum Acquiring LCD Manufacturer Polytronix
RICHARDSON, Texas, Feb. 1 -- Chorum Technologies Inc., a developer of all-optical processors and subsystems, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Polytronix Inc., a manufacturer of liquid crystal display (LCD) technologies. Polytronix's expertise is in standard and custom-made LCDs for application in the telecommunications, healthcare, aerospace and consumer electronics industries. Polytronix, which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Chorum, was acquired in a transaction accounted for as a purchase. Additional terms were not disclosed.
