Flextronics Expands Photonics Business Unit Through Acquisitions

SINGAPORE, Feb. 16 -- Flextronics, an electronics manufacturing services provider focused on delivering end to end solutions to OEMs, announced the acquisition of Wave Optics Inc. and Fico Fiber Optics Inc.
Wave Optics focuses on the design, manufacturing and packaging of optical subcomponents and components for the DWDM, SONET and Gigabit Ethernet markets.
Fico Fiber Optics focuses on product industrialization and manufacturing of advanced optical modules, electro-optical modules and passive optical components for leading telecom and datacom product companies.
