Photonics Program Invites Proposals
The Colorado Photonics & Optoelectronics Program has announced that it is reviewing proposals for exploratory projects. The program provides seed grants for research that encourages collaboration between industry and universities. It offers funding for a $30,000-per-year, two-year agreement, toward which companies with fewer than 500 employees must contribute $6000 per year and larger companies must contribute $12,000 per year.
The companies, which must have operations in Colorado, will propose and administer the projects. Researchers must be employed by the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado State University in Fort Collins, the University of Colorado in Boulder or the University of Denver.
The deadline for project proposals is April 3. For more information, please contact R. Brian Hooker at (303) 492-4461 or hookerb@colorado.edu.
