PerkinElmer Optoelectronics Expands Line of High-Perfomance Receivers
PerkinElmer Optoelectronics is building on the success of their 2.5 Gb/s fiber optic receivers by introducing a new 10 Gb/s Receiver at the 2001 OFC Conference in Anaheim, Calif. The 2.5 Gb/s miniDil receiver series, available with PIN or Avalanche Photodetectors, offers best-in-class performance. The new 10 Gb/s PIN receiver is a high-sensitivity device designed to meet the most stringent performance and reliability requirements.
Both the 2.5 and 10 Gb/s receiver products incorporate high-speed InGaAs photodiodes with low-noise transimpedance amplifiers to ensure the highest performance for long, intermediate or short-range applications. PerkinElmer’s fiber optic receivers are ideal for DWDM systems, high-speed networks, test equipment, digital video transmission equipment/CATV and SONET transmission equipment. The 10 Gb/s receiver will be available in quantities in June 2001.
