Telephotonics Unveils OASIC Architecture
WILMINGTON, Mass., March 19 -- Telephotonics Inc., a supplier of integrated optical components for dense wavelength division multiplexing systems, announced a new optical components architecture under the umbrella name Optical Application Specific Integrated Circuit (OASIC).
The first two product families to be released are a family of Variable Optical Attenuator arrays, and a family of Optical Channel Monitor arrays. The OASIC architecture promises to reduce the cost and increase the functionality of DWDM optical subsystems for the Metro market, said Telephotonics.
