Intune Reduces Tunable Laser Calibration Time Even Further
DUBLIN, Ireland, March 27 – Midway through last year, Intune Technologies announced that it had reduced tunable laser calibration time from days to about one hour. Now they have slashed this time down to the order of minutes. The Intune SENTOR system can calibrate any of the lasers currently available on the market in a fully automated environment, according to Intune. The company has already performed product demonstrations for some of its customers with favorable results.
Intune Technologies was founded in Dublin at the end of 1999 and currently employs 17 people. Their technology combines fundamental laser knowledge with hardware, software and firmware to produce fast calibration systems. They closed a first round of investment in December, raising $2.5 million from 3i Group PLC, ICC Venture Capital and private investment.
