Thermo Oriel Announces Multiport Fiber Illuminators

Thermo Oriel has unveiled its line of Multi-Port Fiber Illuminators designed specifically for WDM testing. They have multiple output ports for simultaneous testing of up to four spectral channels. They are simple to use, inexpensive, and have very high coupling efficiency, the company said. Each output channel can deliver about 40 dBm/10 nm into a 62 µm core fiber, or 500 pW/nm into a 9 µm single-mode fiber.
