Sunrise Technologies International Inc. announced that the Hyperion LTK System, a refractive laser, has been approved for sale in Canada. The company was granted a medical device licence by the Therapeutic Products Directorate Medical Devices Bureau in Ottawa, Ontario.
TeraXion, an emerging supplier of value-added optical components based on Fiber Bragg Grating technology, announced the closing of a $15 million first round (Series A) private placement with a group of investors led by Wynnchurch Capital. TeraXion will use the proceeds to further develop key R & D projects and increase its manufacturing capacity.
The board of directors of Valdor Fiber Optics Inc. announced receipt of a purchase order for $3.2 million for an annual requirement of passive fiber optic components, which are to be used by a major North American telecommunication OEM.
