InVision Wins $3 Million Swedish Order
NEWARK, Calif., May 8 -- InVision Technologies Inc. has received an order valued at approximately $3 million for CTX 9000 Dsi Explosive Detection Systems (EDS), related integration services and additional deliverables from Luftfartsverket, the Swedish government agency that operates all of the country's major airports. The systems will be delivered in the first quarter of 2002.
"This is a major achievement for InVision, since it is the first time a Scandinavian airport has ordered a FAA-certified EDS system and underscores InVision's present inroads into the European Community. To date InVision has sales in France, UK, Spain, The Netherlands, Belgium, Greece and now Sweden. Sweden's selection of InVision's offering further demonstrates our leadership in the industry, as well as the impact of next year's ECAC deadline for implementation of the 100 percent hold baggage screening requirement in Europe," noted Sergio Magistri, president and chief executive officer of InVision.
