K2 Optronics Names Lego To Board
SUNNYVALE, Calif., May 11 -- K2 Optronics Inc., a developer of optical components for the telecommunications industry, has appointed Catherine P. Lego to the Board of Directors. Lego is managing partner of The Photonics Fund, a participant in K2 Optronics' series A and B financing rounds.
"We are delighted to have someone with such outstanding fiber optics related credentials join the Board of K2 Optronics," said Raj S. Kapany, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Cathy is very well known and respected throughout the fiber optic and venture capital communities. She will greatly benefit the financial, operational, and global aspects of our business model."
"In my search for bandwidth nirvana (the delivery of more throughput at lower cost), I believe K2 Optronics is well positioned to be an integral part of that quest," said Lego. I hope I can help K2 Optronics in a number of ways -- for example, to help with problem solving by using my industry contacts and with gaining a competitive advantage in a rapidly changing and challenging marketplace. I am here to be an active board member."
